M R Ambedkar Dental College and Hospital serves as a well-known centre for guiding and supporting research activities for its students and staffs. The institute has an Advanced research Centre with latest equipments like Research Microscope, Sterio microscope, Penta head microscope, Microtomes, laser units, research endodontic microscope, Deep freezers, Biochemical Analysers, Mixers, Imaging software’s etc. for meticulous research.

Institution has a well-established research and ethical committee, which include well-known researchers, excellent in the field of innovation. Students / Staffs doing research are guided and analyzed by this expert team of members. Priority is given to appointing staff, who possess rich experience in research and good academic credibility. Once the mentor identifies the student as fast learners, in the first year, they are given orientation towards presentation of papers/posters/table top clinics in conference and conventions. Once the students enter clinics, a detailed workshop will be organised by the institute to seed the research ideas in these young minds. Such students were guided and encouraged to publish their innovations in research journals. Our postgraduate students have undertaken numerous research projects and published enormous number of research papers in esteemed journals.

Seminars, symposium are organized by the institution with eye-opening lectures from Deans, Principals and icons from nearby and well-known Colleges/University. The college has developed several proactive value added courses to promote innovation, enhance skills in basic as well as advanced dental procedures and develop a knowledge based approach among students by conveying how knowledge promises employment and empowerment.

Implantology clinic – Nobel Biocare collaborated Implant courses in our institution helps interns, general dentists and post graduate students to understand, learn and practise basic as well as advanced implantology procedures.

Our college offers a post-graduation implantology course which is affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences and has an intake of 4 admissions each year.

The college also offers a post-graduation esthetic dentistry course conducted by the Departments of Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics, Prosthodontics and Periodontics. This is also affiliated to the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences and has an intake of 2 admissions each year.

The college offers PhD programs in Paedodontics and Preventive Dentistry and Prosthodontics which are affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences.

On an Average yearly 50-60 research projects are conducted at M R Ambedkar Dental College and Hospital.
