CONSERVATIVE DENTISTRY AND ENDODONTICS

About The Department/ Introduction

CONSERVATIVE DENTISTRY AND ENDODONTICS

This is most sought out department by general patients in dentistry for getting their teeth restoration, RCT and esthetic correction.
The department of conservative and endodontics can be divided into 4 sections based on the type of treatment being done:
●Conservative dentistry
●Endodontics
●Aesthetic dentistry
●Micro endodontics

-Conservative dentistry deals with the study, diagnosis and integrated management of diseases of the teeth.
-Endodontics deals with diseases and injuries of enamel, dentine and the dental pulp (involve root canal treatment and post and core whenever required).
-Esthetic dentistry is a branch of conservative dentistry which deals with the correction of dental anomalies like spacing between the teeth, malformed tooth (smile designing), tooth discoloration (bleaching ) which leads to enhanced confidence of the patient within oneself which gives them social confidence.
-Micro-dentistry is the most advanced branch of conservative dentistry and endodontics which involves the use of microscope to study the intricate structures of the tooth which helps in better diagnosis and treatment planning leading to successful outcome of the treatment.
Advantages of microscopic endodontics involves the identification of missed canals, retrieval of separated separated instrument in the root canal, identification of micro cracks in the tooth structures whose presence is not favorable for good treatment outcome.
